Detroit, Michigan
At C Note Lounge, every loaf tells a story — slow-fermented sourdoughs, buttery pastries pulled from the oven each morning, and a curated market of goods you won't find anywhere else on Van Dyke.
Our Story
C Note Lounge opened its doors on Van Dyke Avenue as a response to something Detroit was missing: a space where the craft of baking and the warmth of a neighborhood gathering spot could coexist.
Every morning, our ovens fire up before the city wakes. We bake in small batches — nothing rushed, nothing artificial. Our sourdough ferments for 48 hours. Our croissants are laminated by hand. Our market shelves carry items we'd actually want on our own tables.
This isn't a chain. It's not a franchise. It's a lounge, a bakery, and a market that belongs to the people who walk through our door every day.
What We Offer
48-hour fermented sourdough, rustic country loaves, and specialty flatbreads — all baked from scratch, every single day.
Flaky croissants, rich danishes, and seasonal tarts — laminated and finished by hand before dawn, when the dough is at its best.
A carefully selected collection of pantry staples, specialty ingredients, and local goods — items we'd keep in our own kitchen.
Sit down, stay a while. Our lounge space is where neighbors gather, conversations happen, and every visit feels like coming home.
C Note Lounge Detroit, MIThe best bread isn't made in a factory. It's made with patience, with local grain, and with the kind of attention that only comes when you're baking for people you actually know.
